Easter- a time for new beginnings.
I try to remember how Jesus was upon the cross dying for me, when I want to shirk my vocation of mom and wife. My family deserves the best from me and I should want to give them my best! Unfortunately, life, gets in the way. So, since Easter is a time for new beginnings, I’m going to re-dedicate myself to being a 24/7 Christian and not just a Sunday Christian.
The second reading of Easter Sunday Mass has always resonated with me. It’s from 1 Corin 5:6-8.
“Clear out the old yeast, so that you may become a fresh batch of dough…For our Paschal Lamb, Christ, has been sacrificed. Therefore, let us celebrate the feast,…with the unleavened bread of sincerity and truth.”
