God Is So Good

WOW!  God is so good!

We have a rescheduled date for our 2020 Forum in San Antonio. Our hotel has graciously worked with us to find an available date that would accommodate our program.  So, (drum roll, please) mark your calendars for November!  We will open Forum 2020 on Thursday, November 5 to connect, unite, and inspire each other through Sunday, November 8.  Ironically, our rescheduled dates still coincide with the rescheduled city-wide Fiesta activities, so I guess God really wants us to be a “visible presence of Christ” over this time period, in this city.

Now that the new dates are set, the Forum team has already started contacting our attendees, keynote speakers, vendors, and the AMS to re-solidify our commitments so that they align with the date change.  We are moving full speed ahead with a renewed sense of purpose and complete joy.

We are happy to report that Jennifer Fulwiler will still be joining us in addition to another dynamic speaker I am excited to announce in the coming weeks.

The change in dates has also allowed Forum attendees to use a third church in the hotel’s vicinity for our Mass, adoration, and reconciliation services.  What a blessing to have the opportunity to worship in three different churches all within walking distance.

Our theme for this year’s event will continue to be FIAT.  It is taken from Luke 1:38.  Mary said, “Behold, I am the handmaid of the Lord. May it be done to me according to your word.  My prayer is that you will give your FIAT to attend this year’s event.

There are not enough ways to express my gratitude to the MCCW Board of Directors and our President, Kim Miller, for their prompt, thoughtful, meaningful, Christ-centered, discussions on how to move through the issue of Forum during the spread of the pandemic. I am truly the one who is blessed to be a servant leader with all of you.

If you have any questions about Forum itself or the new dates, please contact me at the email address below and I will be happy to answer them.

Peace and Aloha!

Did you know that AMS chaplains serve over 1.8 million Catholics in the military? Our need for priests is great!  Providing for the spiritual and sacramental needs of men and women in uniform and their families is an essential task, and priest-chaplains are in higher demand now than ever before.
