Welcome Our Newest Board Members

Our MCCW Board has turned over a few positions, welcoming new members to the Board, and re-welcoming returning members. This month, we’d like to introduce you to our four newest board members; stay tuned next month for a re-introduction of our other board members!

Each board member has been asked several questions: their “fiat” – or, why they chose to serve; where their family is stationed, and a little bit about each family; the individual ladies’ hobbies and favorite saints.

Welcome to Bevin Landrum, our 2022-2024 President!

Bevin Landrum, MCCW President

Bevin’s Fiat:

I argued with God for months about serving again on the MCCW board.  I felt I was juggling too many external responsibilities and that I needed to focus on other ministry opportunities and family life.  In His own way, God guided my discernment and gently reminded me that He does not call us to that which we cannot do if we but trust in Him. He showed me that through my love of MCCW and commitment to our military-affiliated community of sisters in Christ that He seeks to make me a better woman of faith. Humbly I said yes when I heard His call at the discernment table in Tampa. I trust in His plan.

Bio Nuggets:

  • Current Installation: I currently live at Ft. Bragg, NC with my husband, and we attend St. Michael the Archangel Catholic Community.
  • Family Stats: Active-duty Army husband, with two children, and three grandchildren whom I adore spoiling.
  • Hobbies: In my free time, I enjoy being at the beach, cooking, reading, and wine collecting.

Favorite Saint: I am currently learning more about Saint Padre Pio.  I knew of him but had not prayed for his intercessions or studied his life and miracles until last fall.  My sister-in-law was in the hospital and dying of an unknown infection and sepsis.  The doctors were preparing the family for her to not make it.

A friend shared the Padre Pio prayer with me and I began praying fervently for his intercession.  Within days she was improving and was eventually released from the hospital and has fully recovered.

In May, I had the opportunity to venerate St. Padre Pio’s relics when they were on display at the Basilica in DC.  It was a powerful moment and I was further blessed by God’s perfect timing to put me in line behind someone who knew me and attended a church where I do website work.  I did not know them but felt the urge to offer my assistance. In the moment, she needed me to push her wheelchair and help her seek Saint Padre Pio’s prayers.  It was a beautiful reminder that when we feel the Holy Spirit prompting us to be somewhere or to speak up and offer assistance that we must obey.  He never fails to bless our obedience.

Welcome to Josephine Trejo, our 2022-2024 Director of Stewardship!

Josephine Trejio PicJosephine’s Fiat:

I have been a part of MCCW since 2006, and transitioned when it later changed to CWOC. Between my children and deployments I was not able to participate and travel as I wanted to. I was only able to help out locally at CWOC and churches. During this military-life journey, my love for my faith grew so much. I am blessed and now able to give a little more.

  • Family Stats:  Married to a Catholic Field Artillery soldier; we have six children (5 boys and 1 girl) in age ranges of 27 to 11. We also have a dog and a yellowfront parrot.
  • Hobbies:  I love to cook, crochet, listen to Father Alar from Divine Mercy, play sports with my family, and dance.

Favorite Saint: I love learning about Mama Mary (The World book of Marian Apparitions) and Padre Pio

Welcome to Anni Harry, our 2022-2024 Director of Communications!

Image of Director of Communications 2022-2024

Anni’s Fiat:

I am a firm believer in the saying, “God does not call the qualified; He qualifies those He calls.” For years, I have been acquiring skills that had nothing to do with my clinical social work training and background; instead, I was learning skills while working in the field of grassroots evangelization. Several years ago, I was called to put my personal apostolate on hold, and instead use those skills to assist parish ministry. However, I continued to write and create content, but without my personal ministry attached. As we faced a new PCS and my parish ministry role coming to a close, I saw the need for the MCCW Director of Communications. I felt God asking me to continue to serve Him, within the mission field of MCCW, using the skills in digital evangelization and communication I have honed through the past (almost) decade.

Bio Nuggets:

  • Installation your family is assigned: We just moved to Ft. Huachuca, AZ
  • Family stats (spouse/kids): Active-duty Army husband, three children (9, 6, 4) with a fourth expected this winter, one black Labrador Retriever
  • Hobbies: Writing, Learning more about my Faith, Baking

Favorite Saint: St. Peter is, hands-down, my favorite saint. As I explain to people, he got so many things wrong, but he always got his passion for the Lord just right!

Welcome to Madeline Stockman, our 2022-2024 Director At-Large

(Seminarian Support)!

Madeline Stockman, Director at Large Pic

Madeline’s Fiat:

When I began my journey to explore the Catholic church, it was CWOC and MCCW women who walked with and accompanied me. Even my RCIA sponsor was a regional coordinator at the time! My fiat to MCCW is returning the great love and service to this organization as a thank you for the greatest gift I have ever received – my baptism.

  • Family stats: 1 tall redheaded Army NCO medic, 1 sassy and way-too-smart kindergarten darling, and 1 goofy grinned just-barely-potty-trained preschool prince.

Favorite Saint: All of them!? I can never pick a favorite, but lately Blessed John Henry Newman has been calling to my heart.
