MCCW In-Person Regional Retreats are BACK!

Save the date(s) for the 2023 MCCW Regional Retreats! 

In October you are going to see some fresh new changes as we relaunch our MCCW website and the registration links.  Nothing too earth shattering, just a little facelift as we come out of our sleepy Covid state.  

As many of you know, our CONUS and Pacific regions host regional retreats in the spring of the odd years, with Europe and Asia hosting events in the fall.  

Sometimes, the date for your own regional retreat does not fit with your family’s schedule… great news!  All of our regional retreats are open, so if another date works better for your schedule, you are welcome to attend. You can choose the retreat most convenient to you. 

The Regional Boards have been working so hard on six different, already scheduled, retreats. Be sure to jot down ALL of the retreat dates, so you can go where the Holy Spirit leads you.  Don’t feel like you can’t jump around and attend more than one regional retreat. (We are also in the process of putting together a new Regional Board for Asia and hope to have something exciting to announce later this fall.)

Our overall regional retreat theme is CHRIST IN ME, inspired by the scripture verse: “I am the vine; you are the branches. Whoever abides in me and I in him, bears much fruit. For without me, you are able to do nothing” (John 15:5 CPDV).

We are called to bear much fruit in the name of Christ Jesus.  As disciples, we shine the light of Christ and share the good news wherever we are going.  The image of vines and branches is so perfect for our military lifestyle. We often say ‘Bloom Where You Are Planted’ as we move from location to location, and the vines and branches continue to call that to mind. 

The invitation to come to chapel or to CWOC to a new woman can be a lifesaving moment. And by that, I mean you never know someone’s faith journey. That simple outreach to come to coffee, CWOC, or Mass may mean the world to a woman who is feeling lost, lonely, or overwhelmed.  We know all too well how much we lean on our sisters-in-Christ.  Be on the lookout for that woman who could use a wonderful “Good Girl’s Weekend” away, where she can be revived and energized to go back to her chapel and light the fire of Christ within her own community.

March is retreat season, so clear your schedules, talk to your CWOC groups about getting cars for a road-trip, and talk with your priests about the chapel sponsoring women to attend these wonderful weekends.
