Forum 2020 Location Announced
Dear Sisters in Christ,
Wow! I am just back from a long weekend in San Antonio with your MCCW board and all I can say is, “wow!”
Wow to the amazingly talented, dedicated servant leaders who put in countless volunteer hours to help MCCW connect, unite, and inspire each of you.
Wow to the fruit that comes from the grace of God and time together – time spent praying, learning, working, and even playing!
And the biggest wow to the amazing host city and host hotel for our 2020 Forum! We cannot wait to share all we have planned for the MCCW Faith Formation Forum 2020: Be It Done to Me According to Your Word.
In addition to inspirational speakers, beautiful opportunities for the sacraments, and a prayer-filled pilgrimage, we will have a front-row seat for San Antonio’s biggest annual celebration – Fiesta! This nearly 130-year-old tradition started as a way to honor the state’s earliest military heroes – those brave men who fought at the battles of the Alamo and San Jacinto. What a fitting time for the women of MCCW to gather and reflect on our shared sisterhood of faith and military service.
This issue is chock-full of details about that event so you and your chapels can start planning!
Before I sign off, I also want to plant a seed in each of your minds. So that we can continue to provide the very best opportunities, MCCW will begin this year staggering the succession of its board members. You can read more about this in Called to Serve, but I want to encourage each of you to begin praying about how you can serve MCCW and the women of the Archdiocese for the Military Services in the years to come. There is room at the table for each of you and I look forward to seeing many of you around the discernment table in the coming months.
Yours in Christ,
Kim
