New Regional Retreat Schedule Released
MCCW Sisters in Christ,
Please join in our excitement as we announce our regional retreat theme and locations for MCCW retreats around the world in 2020 and 2021.
Our retreat theme is Embracing Sainthood: “Rejoice and be glad for your reward will be great in heaven” (Matthew 5:12).
The first MCCW retreat on the calendar is in the Asian Region followed closely by the European Region in October 2020. In 2021, our US regional retreats will begin in February and run through April.
How fitting is it that our MCCW volunteers chose this theme of Embracing Sainthood? The theme was selected long before any of us knew the impact of COVID-19 and the value of the orders to stay home. Our MCCW team of volunteers has embraced the spirit of connecting, uniting, and inspiring women around the globe through social media, our virtual Day of Reflection, and Zoom platform activities. It is exciting to see our volunteers work together to share our collective spirit of inspiring women no matter where they are in their faith journey, quarantined at home, wearing athleisure, and holding down the home fort with grace.
We may never know the value of our efforts to support and connect each other, but I am confident that if ever there was a time to embrace sainthood, it is now!
he simple acts of staying home, limiting trips to essential-only outings, along with social distancing might save a life. We will not know the results of our efforts during our lifetime, but I believe we might be embracing sainthood by sacrificing our will for His will. The actions we are taking now to protect each other are a true example of embracing sainthood.
As we look forward to when we can be together in person, please consider joining MCCW in your region for a spiritually-enriching retreat in 2020 or 2021.
We can’t wait to see you again.
