MCCW Mission & Growth
With the success of Forum 2022 and the new installation of a full nine-person board, we are excited to look forward to the next two years and what is to come for MCCW.
MCCW-Worldwide’s main mission has been and will continue to be to connect, unite and inspire Catholic, military affiliated women on a local and worldwide level. Throughout the last few months the board has been hard at work identifying the steps to take to fulfill our mission and serve the military Catholic women of the chapel.
With our mission in mind and under prayerful discernment, the board has identified four areas where we see opportunities of growth. We are excited to share with all of you what our goals over the next few years will look like and how we are able to serve you.
Our first opportunity for growth is through our faith formation resources. After a rough few years with Covid, we are excited to help revive and nurture the spiritual growth of all military Catholic women. This means we are working, in combination with the Archdiocese of Military Service, to offer more prayer and spiritual development opportunities virtually, as well as at all of our in-person events.
We are excited to offer many opportunities over the next two years for spiritual growth and development, but we can not do so without funding from our various fundraising events throughout the year. Therefore, our second opportunity for growth is to secure grant funding for ongoing operational expenses. This will allow MCCW-Worldwide to focus our attention towards fundraising for our perpetual charity, the AMS Co-Sponsored Seminarian Fund, creating new and improved resources for chapel use free of cost to you and your chapel groups, and creating low-cost or free opportunities for in-person and virtual spiritual development.
MCCW is a nonprofit 501c3 organization and currently all of our funding comes directly from generous donations from our membership. Thank you for your continued support of this organization.
The MCCW board works diligently to spread the word on all of our upcoming spiritual development opportunities such as regional retreats, virtual opportunities, and Forum, but our work is only as good as our local chapel communications. We have identified that this is an area that could use some development.
Our third opportunity for growth is to rework and to enhance our communications and resources provided to local chapels worldwide. This includes launching an evangelization task force and building our contact roster for chapels in all regions. MCCW board members are also committed to speaking with every local chapel that requests it. We want to share how MCCW can support you on a local level and what resources we can provide for your chapel group. From starting a new local CWOC to searching for speakers or funding, we are committed to provide resources and opportunities to every group at the local level.
For more information or to request a board member to speak with your CWOC board or chapel please submit a request here.
The fourth opportunity for growth at MCCW-Worldwide focuses on the organizational and professional growth of MCCW over the next two years. MCCW has seen significant growth in a short amount of time, and the operational needs have grown significantly. Over the next two years we are committed to fine-tuning our operational core values, encouraging professional development of all of our volunteers so we can bring the knowledge and learning they receive back to our organization, and working with the AMS to eventually employ an executive director.
Our board is composed of nine volunteers and each of these women are some combination of mothers, grandmothers, wives, and friends who give their time, talent, and treasure to the organization. As we work diligently to accomplish these four goals, we want to ask for your prayers for the women of the board and for the organization as a whole so that we may connect, unite, and inspire this community through the work that we do.
In Christ,
Becca
